How much does it cost to air a commercial on your ad insertion channels?
Our rates are $2.00, $2.50, and $3.00, depending on the length of the contract you sign. Our current rate sheet can be downloaded from our advertising page. For additional information, or to find out about any current advertising specials, please call (270) 762-1712.

If I have a commercial produced by Murray Electric System, can I take it to other cable providers and/or stations?
Yes you can. Once you pay the one time production fee of $100, the finished commercial becomes your property. You may take it to other providers and advertise with them as well.

Besides commercial production and local origination programming, what other services does your video production department offer?
Although these two services are the bulk of our workload, we can also produce industrial and demonstration videos, special non-community events, and provide VHS duplication services. Give us a call today at (270) 762-1712 to discuss what we have to offer.

Can for-profit organizations post PSAs on your public access channel, Ch. 15?
At this time, PSA space is only allotted for non-profit organizations and events that are open to the community.

How far in advance should I send a PSA for Ch. 15?
We recommend submitting PSAs at least a week prior to the event. For information on how to submit a PSA, please call (270) 762-1712.

I have information that I need placed on Channels 13, 14, and 15. Who do I need to contact?
For Ch. 13, you should contact Murray High School, and Calloway County High School for Ch. 14. For all information, questions and requests regarding Ch. 15, please call (270) 762-1712.

How do you decide which community events to film and air on public access?
Usually we rely on personal notifications from event planners, or from PSAs submitted to the department. We also have to take into consideration location, scheduling limitations and staff/equipment availability.

How much does it cost for a personal copy of a Murray Electric production (i.e. a Christmas parade, a school event)?
Our standard fee is $5 for a VHS copy of an event, and $10 for a DVD copy. Copies are usually ready within a few days of the initial request.
